Club of the Month

This month, we spotlight “Tissue Club”, a student-run organization that has quickly risen to popularity for their outstanding and impactful mission – fundraising for tissues and other essential supplies. The club originated in 2022 during Mrs.Olsen’s science class when students noticed a shortage of tissues, especially during allergy season. What began as a small idea to club leaders, Athena (Cici) Sun and Hudson Dooley, grew into a popular association known for its creative fundraisers. This year, issue Club has successfully sold around 90 units of merchandise, with profits going directly toward purchasing tissues for the classrooms.

Besides selling merchandise, Tissue Club has introduced custom made stickers and a snack subscription, further expanding their fundraising efforts. The club’s fundraisers are known for being fun, inclusive, and effective, drawing in students and teachers to give back to the community. Last year, they hosted a highly successful food drive, donating, and collecting an impressive amount of non-perishable goods, bringing the school together for a common cause.  Similarly, Tissue Club often hosts hot chocolate socials, where students gather to enjoy warm drinks and decorate tissue boxes. The club also organizes movie nights, raising funds for a good cause.

Thanks to the Tissue Club efforts, teachers no longer have to dip into their own pockets to buy tissues, ensuring classrooms stay well-stocked! With growing membership and ongoing support from the school community, the club continues to make a lasting impact.
