With over 1,500+ exhibitors and 200+ aircrafts on display, the Dubai Airshow, held November 17-21, 2025 proved that sky is no longer the limit. From drones to fighter jets, attendees had a chance to see it all.
A Legacy of Innovation
Since its humble beginning as Arab Air, the Dubai Airshow has evolved into one of the world’s most premier aerospace events. Held biennially, it features cutting-edge technology, facilitates multi-billion-dollar deals, and sets the tone for global aviation trends. With aviation contributing close to 18.2% (92 billion dollars) of the UAE’s GDP the Dubai Airshow only helps it prosper.
Major Highlights of 2025
- eVTOL Aircraft Debut: eVTOL which stands for electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles, took center stage, with life flying displays that hinted at a future of urban air mobility.
- Boeing’s Comeback: Boeing made a bold return by introducing the 777-9 passenger aircraft in the face of recent market setbacks and safety concerns. The 777-9, aa next-gen widebody jet designed for fuel efficiency and passenger comfort, takes its rightful place as the new longest passenger aircraft. Measuring a whopping 251 feet 9 inches (76.73 meters), this plane can fit a max of 550 people. Boeing also received orders for multiple Boeing 737 Maxes, securing more than 13 billion despite frequent malfunctions and concerns with the aircraft.
- Airshow After Dark: For the first time in 30 years, the Dubai Airshow extended into the evening with immersive drone light shows, illuminated aircraft displays, and networking events under the stars; the Dubai airshow seamlessly blended aeronautical innovation with business elegance.
Global Collaboration in the Skies
From across the globe, aerospace giants converged to form partnerships and form major deals. The “Aerospace 2050” and “Aviation Mobility” conferences featured thought leaders discussing AI driven air traffic control and autonomous systems.
Tech that Changes Everything
Throughout the 5 days that the airshow took place, visitors noticed a key theme… sustainability. Whether it was hydrogen powered engines or hybrid propulsion systems; the innovations that were seen astonished guests. The UAE Space Agency also showcased satellite innovations and its expanding role in global space exploration. This new technology will revolutionize the way air travel will work in the future.
